COSHH Awareness Training Course

The Control of Substances Hazardous to Health regulations are commonly referred to as COSHH.
The law requires employers to control exposure to hazardous substances and to protect workers who may be exposed.

Hazardous substances at work can put employees and others health at risk, failure to adequately control hazardous substances may result in those who come into contact becoming ill.

Basic control measures must be put in place to achieve two aims; (1) by controlling the introduction of harmful products into the workplace and (2) by controlling existing risks in the workplace.

Under COSHH regulations it is the responsibility of all companies, organisations and employers to undertake a risk assessment of the risks to health and safety posed by substances under their control.
