Falls from height are one of the biggest causes of workplace fatalities and injuries.
Latest figures for 2020/21 show that there were 35 fatal accidents that resulted in falls from height.
The purpose of the training courses as listed is to provide the information, training, and knowledge to protect employees when working at height and reduce the risk of injury or death by providing the correct type of training to the highest standard.
The Work at Height Regulations 2005 (WAHR) state that you must make sure any work at height activity is carefully planned, supervised, and carried out by competent people.

The fixed ladder training course has been developed by Richard Appleyard our senior consultant who has many years of experience training delegates to safely access, work position and egress maintaining three points of contact using a system that has a proven track record to reduce the risk of a fall when using a fixed ladder in the workplace.
This course is for those who use step ladders, universal ladders, general ladders in the workplace. The course is a mix of theory and practical with delegate participation.
Ladder Training (Ground to Gutter)
This course is for those who use ladders as part of their daily routine and have a requirement to have two hands free to complete the task.
The training will introduce delegates on how to access a secure ladder using fall protection equipment.
Ladder Roof Ladder Training (Ground to Ridge)
This training course has been developed for industries whose employees who use ladder and roof ladders with a requirement to use personal fall protection equipment.
Fixed Ladders (Hooped Ladders)
This course is for those who climb fixed ladders to complete a variety of tasks in a general working environment. In addition to this course delegates will also be shown how to adapt using fall protection equipment.
AGT (Apple Group provide the training courses listed above to all industries that have a requirement to use ladders of all types in a working environment.
These courses are accredited through Apple Group Training CPD (Continuous Professional Development)
Delegates successfully completing these training courses will receive a certificate which may be used as evidence of Continuous Professional Development (CPD) within your industry.
