This training course will equip delegates with the knowledge and skills that are required in a working environment when using nail guns.
Nail guns can cause serious injury or death, it is a legal requirement that the user of any form of nail gun has received training, information, and instruction on the safe use use and risk to the delegate and others in the workplace.
Course duration: Half day.
The purpose of this course is to train operatives on how to inspect and use their nail gun safely irrespective of type, make, and model.
This course will train delegates on the safe use of a nail gun, the hazards, risk and the precautions that must be taken when operating in accordance with the provision and use of work equipment regulations 1998.
On completion of the nail gun training course delegates will have learned the skills necessary to use their nail gun safely and be deemed competent.
This training course is designed for anyone who operates a nail gun,
Whether you use a battery powered, air, or butane gas nail gun, manufactured by Paslode, Spat, Dewalt, or any other manufacturer, this course is for you.
This training course is also for anyone who has responsibility for the safe use of work equipment, such as managers and supervisors.
Provide professional training, information and instruction on the safe use of your nail gun.
Understand the purpose of collective and individual safety procedures when using your nail gun.
Be aware of the hazards and the risk when using your nail gun in the workplace.
Provide the level of supervision proportionate to the age experience, learners ability and general attitude of each employee towards learning and use of your nail gun.
Understand how the nail gun should be used and what can go wrong if used in a way that would put the employee and others at risk.
As part of the training course operatives will be required to participate in the full use of their equipment under supervision,
The training environment must be safe for all users of the nail gun on site.
The course is a mix of theory and practical with full delegate participation on the use of the nail gun.
This course is accredited through the CPD standards office under the banner ‘Safe Use of Power Tools’.
Delegates successfully completing this training course will receive a certificate which can be used as evidence of Continuous Professional Development (CPD) within your industry.
